Storm conquers tournament

Saltfleet beat Bishop Ryan 79-38 and finished first in the eight-team tournament, defeating Niagara Falls’ Saint Paul 74-63 in the gold medal game. Bishop Ryan went 1-2 in the tournament.

The event was held last Thursday and Friday at Saltfleet and is in honour of Ken Ormerod, who was a basketball coach for 35 years with the Hamilton public school board. Ormerod died of cancer in 2000. He was 61.
