Hamilton speed skaters brought home four medals from the Western Regional Meet in Milton. The twelve skaters, ranging in age from six to fifteen, set a total of 23 personal best times.
Adam Johnson, 15, from Dundas took home a silver medal in his group by placing second in the 400-metre and 500-metre distances and winning the 1,500 metres. Nine-year-old Hayley Murray, also from Dundas, earned bronze in her group.
Ryan Lowery and Sarah Murray also skated well as they represented the Hamilton Speed Skating Club and its sister Golden Horseshoe Speed Skating Club.
The club is now looking forward to Family Day, Feb. 17 when it will host the next Western Regional Meet at Mainway Arena in Burlington.
