Ruberto’s four-point night helps Blast tie series

Giveaways were costly for Dundas Real McCoys as they fell 9-5 to the Brantford Blast in the fourth game of the John Ross Robertson Cup final last night.

The best-of-seven series is tied at two games apiece with the fifth game Tuesday night in the Brantford Civic Centre at 7:30 p.m. Game six will be played at Dundas next Friday night at 7:30 p.m.

Mike Ruberto speared headed the Brantford attack with two goals and two assists with Cam Sault and Jon Jankus adding a goal and two assists each. Corey Stringer, Mark Taylor, and Chad Spurr added a goal and an assist apiece with Brad Jones netting the other Brantford goal.

For the McCoys, Mike Berry and Mark Jooris connected for a goal and assist apiece. Berry scored on the powerplay. Ryan Christie, Paul Lawson, and Mike Amodeo completed the Dundas scoring. Nick Smith set up two scoring plays.
