The Hamilton Transway Atom Girls’ team headed into the 2011/2012 basketball season as defending provincial champions.

Adding five new players to the roster, the team has been training since September and includes players from Ancaster, Dundas, West Hamilton, Hamilton Mountain and Stoney Creek.

The team is undefeated in season play and hopes to maintain this momentum heading into provincials at the end of March in Brantford.

The team has claimed gold in all three tournaments it entered, including the Scarborough Basketball Association Tournament at the end of January.
