Battle of the big boys…again

The Brantford Blast and arch-rival Dundas Real McCoys face off again Friday night in Brantford for the 11th Anniversary of the Blast Tim Horton’s Night. The Blast are proud to have been partners with Tim Horton’s for 11 years and strongly support the over 70,000 boys and girls that participate in Timbits Hockey. Fans will be treated to a Timbits hockey game during the first intermission. There will be thousands of giveaways with each fan in attendance receiving a free pair of Tim Horton’s Cheersticks, plus a chance to win one of seventy-five $5 Tim’s cards, one of two $50 cards, and a Tim’s Tassimo Gift Pack. On the ice the second place Blast (13-4-0-1) will host the first place Dundas Real McCoy’s (14-3-0-1). The two teams have faced off six times so far this season, with both teams collecting seven points and 3-2-0-1 records in the season series, with Dundas outscoring the Blast 20-16. The game will allow Brantford to move into a first-place tie once again with Dundas, who recently passed the Blast in the standings to take sole possession of first place. Dundas remains two points ahead of the Blast, with both teams having played 18 games so far. This will be the third game between the two teams that can change the standings.
