Alistair Lam wins bronze at Ontario Winter Games

Alistair Lam of the Hamilton Skating Club won bronze at the 2014 Ontario Winter Games.
Lam’s medal was in the pre-novice men’s category, where he had a personal best short program and overall total score. This was his second appearance at the games. Lam previously competed in the 2012 Games in the juvenile men’s category and finished fourth. He also won his section.
In their first year competing together, Felicia Bonitatibus and Matthew Korkoian competed in the pre-novice dance category where they finished their season with a fourth-place finish. They are also the section silver medalists.
The Ontario Winter Games were held in the Muskoka region with the skating events at the Rotary Place in Orillia.
At the Skate Canada Western Ontario STARSkate Championships in Caledonia last month, two skaters qualified for provincials.
Elizabeth DeJong was the junior silver STARSkate champion and qualified for her first provincials.
Megan Bishop earned a bronze in senior silver STARSkate. This will be her second provincials as she qualified last year in junior Silver STARSkate.
The Skate Ontario STARSkate Championships  are being held in Wellington, Ont. March 15-16.
