After 300 game at Skyway, a trio of perfect games at Star

After a 300-game at Skyway Lanes by Travis Cauley, the next three perfect games, plus a 299, were turned in at Star Lanes. Jeff Easton followed a 225 with his 300, his second of 2012,  then added a 199 for a 724-triple.

The next perfect men were Len Garinger Jr. with his second and Richard Parker with his fourth. Coming up one pin short with a 299 was Russell Dee, his first honour score.

Cauley fired 11 strikes in a row for a 290 game and 1,024 (267, 209, 290, 258) at Skyway. On the way to last season’s total of 17 perfect games, only two were recorded in the first half of the season.

After the trio at Star, Mick Anderer put Skyway in the mix with his second 300 in a 745 (243, 300, 202) triple in City ten-pin play. Last week, the same man tripped 279, 243 and 299 for an 821 triple, but the league is unsanctioned. While there have been 346 perfect games in sanctioned competition, at least 60 were bowled in unsanctioned leagues or tournaments.

Kristy Toth was on top of her game in P&G action at Skyway, as she finished strong with a 248 for a 618 triple. For the Happy Gang bunch, Sean Elley 630 (234), George Reid 611 (226), Pat Berg 178 and Veronica Berg 176 and in Westinghouse play, Ed Margueratt 633 (237) and Dylan Herchenroder 257.

A new high single for the VSL  belongs to Chuck Ellis at 265, while Derek Hannah collected a 234. In Sunday night mixed play, Mark Ward 672 (267) and a 268 single and John Burke had a 686 (256, 233).

At Burlington Bowl, Catharine Rowe cranked a 714 (256, 236, 222), John Stanisz 629 (252), Scott Charles 625 (268), Ron Link 608 (228, 223),  Debbie Fawcett 583 (217) and with 200 games were Joey Welling 233, George Knox 226,  Sandra Cox 225,  Doug Miller 220 and 210, Sue Oxoby 212, Mary O’Loughlin 209 and with 200s Jenny Davey and Carol Goosens.

With a 103 average, Pam Okhiro dealt a 153, Peter Winstanley, 138 average, a 186, Pam Miller, 127 average, a 179, Bernice Lillies, 115 avg., a 425 triple with a 151 game.  Linda Gamelin scored a 133 triplicate, Betty Franey a 212 clean game, Sue Humber a 182 all spare game and also with games over 200 were Cindy Parkin & Jason Landry 230,  Larry Doucet 226, Adam Turner 214,   Ralph Bryant 211, Wayne Langlois 205 and Zvonka Cunko 202.

In Burlington Bowl junior action, Brianne Crysler was consistent with games of 188, 189 and 188, Jonathan Posavad finished with 214 and 214 for a 610, Dylan Stewart, 121 average, 464 (183), Aaron Cockburn plus 50 at 180, Jordan Bernaski plus 58 at 203 and Ben Lynes plus 51 at 186.
