Winner Chrissy Cook gets ready to launch a tire for maximum distance during Dundas Rotary’s Strength in the Valley III competiton on Canada Day at the Dundas Driving Park. The event featured four events — car frame dead-lifting, log pressing, tire toss and a push/pull/walk/load medley that challenged 19 athletes in three classes - women’s open, men’s under 220 pounds and men’s over 220 pounds. Chris Racknor of London won the men’s heavyweight class, while Jeff Robertson of Hamilton won the men’s lightweight class. Strength in the Valley has raised close to $1,000 over the last three years for the the Rotary Club of Dundas.
