A season to remember

The Ancaster Avalanche Minor Peewee AE hockey team recently celebrated a special achievement capping off a memorable season as Ontario Minor Hockey Association finalists. The team finished in third place in the regular season and won two medals in tournament play.

The road to the finals started with the team earning first place in their pool in the OMHA play downs. In the quarter-finals against Burlington, Ancaster battled hard and held on to win in four games. In the semifinals, Ancaster knocked off Oakville to advance to the finals against Aurora.  The teams were evenly matched and the games could have gone either way, unfortunately Ancaster was defeated.  The team thanks its fans, parents and especially the bench staff for their tremendous work.
