Glanbrook scored three unanswered first period goals en route to a 5-1 win Wednesday, and a three games to none lead in their Niagara District Junior C semi-final playoff series over the Dundas Blues.

The series returns to Dundas’ J.L. Grightmire Arena for game four Thursday night at 7:30 p.m.

Dundas’ lone goal came almost 13 minutes into the second period and the Blues were never able to mount a serious comeback – despite a strong second period.

Andrew Solow found the net for Dundas, assisted by Jordan Peacock and Matt Charbonneau. It was Solow’s first goal in nine playoff games this season.

The Blues had a total of 24 penalty minutes on eight infractions – all coming in the first or third period, while Glanbrook only had eight penalty minutes on four infractions.

Glanbrook kept control with nine power play opportunities – in the opening and closing frames, while Dundas only had three power play chances.

Glanbrook won the first two games of the serious by one goal, both in overtime.
