While walking on the trail behind the Ancaster Lion’s Club Pool on Sunday morning, Feb. 10, I moved off the trail to allow a man and his dog to pass.
Instead, the dog came running at me and jumped on me. One paw smacked me in the face and the other paw landed on my chest.
The man asked me if I was all right and said, “She doesn’t normally jump on people”.
So, thank you for my swollen upper lip and aching teeth.
I don’t want to be licked, jumped on or knocked down by dogs whose owners allow them off the leash.
Unless your dog can walk by your side properly, keep them on the leash.
By the way, I have been a dog owner, blessed with two wonderful dogs who were properly trained.
I. Perkons, Ancaster
