If I remember correctly, the OLG changed their accounting procedures a little while back and the City of Hamilton received less than they originally were rewarded. This certainly doesn’t leave one with the feeling that they are all in favour of an economic boom for the city.
The only people who will receive any type of remuneration are the developers and the OLG hierarchy; the population itself will be the dupes.
Also, the original intent was to have at least five per cent taken off the top, leaving a 95-per-cent chance for the patrons. Lo and behold, that was, in my estimation, rather quickly altered and has been consistently ever since.
Again its just a layman’s opinion and not nearly as astute as the people behind this endeavour.
