re: Managing editor loses his battle with cancer (March 7)
For those readers who have been touched by Rod Jerred’s journalism, his decease leaves a sense of sadness and unanswered prayers and for the writer of this letter to the editor, reminiscence of my dear wife of 14 years ago, for whom many prayers were also unanswered for reasons beyond mortality, beyond cognition.
Yet solace can be taken by the fact all is not lost. His presence was a bonus and will be reflected in the lives he touched in thought and spirit. Take heart, it beats in those lives.
