LETTER: Win-at-all-costs attitude has cut middle ground

If apathy was the only problem that’s troubling the Ontario electorate, those of us living in the province would be lucky!
I believe we’re past apathy and suffering from despair. Any comfort that an election can provide Ontarians has tumbled into a chasm and left more questions than answers.
The problem isn’t the pitch the parties will make to get our support, but what follows the election in the Ontario Legislature. Like our society, the middle ground that used to exist in Ontario has diminished into a space so small and fractured that compromise seems impossible. Perhaps the “win at all cost” attitude in the legislature can be jettisoned in an effort to expand the middle ground.
