Just like the Easter bunny, community of Dundas is hoppin’ this spring

The ever-popular, annual Dundas Lioness’s Fish Fry and Dance will take place on the evening of Saturday, April 5 at the Dundas Lions Memorial Community Centre. Doors open at 6 p.m. with dinner served at 7 p.m. by Knechtel Foods of Port Dover. Tickets are available from any Lioness or by calling Betty, 905-628-9822.

On Saturday, April 12, the Rotary Club of Dundas hosts the 4th Dundas Home and Lifestyle Fair from 10 a.m to 5 p.m. in the Dundas Lions Memorial Community Centre, 10 Market St. S. Admission is $2/person

From April 14-19, Canada Comes to Dundas as the Dundas Real McCoys and our community hosts the Allan Cup, the national senior men’s hockey championship at the J.L. Grightmire Arena,. Ticket info is available at www.realmccoys.ca or at Com-Choice, 179 King St W, Dundas.

On Saturday, April 12, join me at the Dundas Valley School of Art, 21 Ogilvie St., for their 44th Anniversary Art Auction. The silent auction begins at 7 p.m., with the live auction at 8 p.m. Admission is $25 per person in advance or $30 per person at the door.

On Friday, April 18, the Dundas Lions Club will host the 41st Easter Egg Hunt at 8 a.m. in the Dundas Driving Park. Admission is $1 per person or $5 per family, plus a non-perishable food item, followed by the Lions’ craft sale at the Dundas Lions Memorial Community Centre. On Saturday, April 19 from 11  a.m. to 3 p.m., enjoy the many activities of the Downtown Dundas BIA’s Easter Eggs-Stravaganza’

The 2013 Dundas Community Awards Dinner, hosted by the Dundas Division of the Hamilton Chamber of Commerce, will take place Friday, April 25 at the Dundas Golf and Curling Club, when the Royal Bank Citizen of the Year, Dundas Valley Collision Centre Youth Volunteer of the Year and the Dundas Business of the Year Awards will be presented.
