Several places to vote for Mountain residents
Residents in the provincial riding of HamiltonMountain can cast a ballot early for the June 12 election at one of several advance polling locations starting this weekend.
Advance polls will be available at the returning office at 1119 Fennell Avenue East (unit 17) June 1-6.
There will be an advance poll at St. Michael’s Anglican Church at 1188 Fennell East and the Sackville Hill Seniors Recreation Centre at Upper Wentworth and Mohawk this Saturday and June 1-6.
Mount Hamilton Christian Reformed Church at 1411 Upper Wellington and West Highland Baptist Church at 1650 Garth Street will hold advance polls June 4-6 and there will be an advance poll at the Turner Park Library this Saturday and Sunday.
All advance polls run from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Voters should bring their notice of registration card and one piece of identification that includes your name and address.
Registration cards were slated to be mailed after the election was called.
Voters who do not have a registration card must bring a piece of identification that contains their name and address.
Those who do not produce the identification will be asked to sign a statutory declaration.
Voters who are unable to attend the advance polls or vote on June 12 general election day can vote by special ballot at their returning office from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday to Saturday and noon to 5 p.m. on Sundays up to June 11.
Special ballot voters must show one piece of identification that includes their name and address.
For west Mountain residents who live in the Hamilton Centre riding, advance polls will be available at the returning office at225 King William Street(second floor) June 1-6.
Advance polls will also be held at St. Andrew’s Church at 479 Upper Paradise June 3-6 and at Big Brothers Big Sisters at639 Main Street East from Saturday to June 3.
Hours of voting are 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Special balloting will be done at the returning office 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday to Saturday and noon to 5 p.m. on Sundays up to June 11.
