Waste collection resumed in the City of Hamilton Thursday as temperatures returned to milder levels.
Safety concerns prompted the cancellation of waste collection on Jan. 7 and 8, as temperatures plummeted to more than -30 C with the wind chill.
Residents who did not have waste collected on Jan. 7 or 8 are asked to place items at the curb for next week’s collection day. Limits will be waived next week.
Christmas tree collection also resumed on Thursday and into next week.
