Hamilton police are on the lookout for a thief who yanked a gold bracelet off the wrist of a 24-year-old man standing outside the Bank of Montreal at the corner of Queenston Road and Lake Avenue North in Stoney Creek.
Const. Debbie McGreal-Dinning said the robber approached the victim at about 6:45 p.m. on Feb. 27 and bumped him from behind, demanding he hand over his money.
When he refused, the man grabbed the victim’s arm and stole the bracelet, fleeing in a waiting black SUV.
The suspect is described as white and about five feet 11 inches tall with a heavy build. He wore black pants and a black baseball cap. East-end detectives continue to investigate. The victim was uninjured.
