Hamilton police say a 62-year-old Stoney Creek man died of injuries after falling off his bike on Chippewa Road.

Sgt. Terri-Lynn Collings said the cyclist was riding east near the corner of Trinity Church Road in Glanbrook shortly after 1 p.m. on Sept. 19 when he lost control.

He was taken to hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries. Police are not releasing his identity at the request of his family.

The collision reconstruction unit continues to investigate and asks any witnesses who haven’t spoken to police to call detective constables Hendrik Vandercraats or Walter Niblock at 905-546-4755.
