Police seek public’s help in identifying Mountain pharmacy robbers

Hamilton police are hoping the release of a video will lead to public tips that will help them identify a man and woman who stole drugs and cash at a Mountain pharmacy on Jan. 27.

In the video – released on Friday – the suspects are seen entering the pharmacy at the corner of Concession and East 31st streets just before 9 a.m. They had a hammer and green garbage bag.

The video shows the pair went straight behind the counter and began helping themselves to drugs. The female suspect is heard telling a distressed clerk “Nobody’s getting hurt. We just want the drugs,” as she filled the garbage bag with prescription drugs, later demanding “Where’s the narcotics?”

Police say the suspects also grabbed a small amount of cash, before taking off in a vehicle waiting outside.

The first suspect is described as a white male, six feet inches tall, with a thin build. He was sporting a black jacket and brown hoodie.

The second suspect is described as female, five feet two inches tall and weighing about 200 pounds, with a heavy build. She was wearing black sunglasses and a dark jacket.

Anyone with information is asked to call Det. Const. Scott Yuill at 905-546-8936.
