Police hunt for two men in shooting
THE HAMILTON SPECTATOR

Hamilton police are searching for two men after another man was found shot in the leg at an apartment building on the Mountain.

Sergeant Terri-Lynn Collings said police were called around 10 a.m. for a suspicious circumstance and arrived at 33 Fennell, Avenue East, near Upper James Street, where they found a man in the lobby. The caller was anonymous.

Police are now searching for two men, described as wearing dark clothing. They do not know if they are still in the building and the men were last seen running up a stairwell.

Collings did not know if there was a relationship between the two men and the victim, who lives in building.

Police also do not know where exactly the shooting occurred.

Initially Collings said the victim did not appear to have serious injuries, as it was the victim who called in the shooting.

Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Elementary School at 49 Fennell East has been locked down as a precaution.
