A Stoney Creek man had a lot of explaining to do when police spotted an open beer in his vehicle Thursday evening.
Police were responding to an unrelated call when an officer observed a vehicle being driven erratically on King Street. During a traffic stop, an officer detected an odour of alcohol on the driver’s breath. The driver admitted to consuming a small amount of alcohol.
The 55-year-old driver registered an alert reading on a roadside breath test, indicating a blood alcohol reading between .05 and .08. His licence was suspended for three days.
