College president will serve out five-year term
Mohawk College president Rob MacIsaac is leaving the college early next year to take over as new president and CEO of Hamilton Health Sciences.
“With a cluster of eight health care facilities, this is an exciting opportunity for me to lead another large and essential agency inHamilton,” said MacIsaac in a message to college staff and faculty this morning.
MacIsaac will finish his five year term at the college on Jan. 31 before taking over at HHS on Feb. 1.
Mohawk’s board of governors will meet on Nov. 13 to contemplate a process of choosing a new president.
MacIsaac will be taking over from long-time HHS president and CEO Murray Martin who is retiring.
