Legendary television star Jamie Farr has arrived at Hamiltons Theatre Aquarius for the highly anticipated production of Tuesdays with Morrie.
Farr, best known for his 11-season stint as Corporal Max Klinger on M*A*S*H, has also been seen as Nathan Detroit in a Broadway revival of Guys and Dolls, as well as numerous film and game show appearances. Recently Farr made a guest appearance portraying himself on The Family Guy. He has also been honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
“It is such a privilege to welcome Jamie to Aquarius and Hamilton,” said Aquarius artistic director Ron Ulrich, who will also direct the production.
Tuesdays with Morrie, adapted from the best selling novel of the same title, follows writer Mitch Albom as he reunites with his former university professor and learns life’s greatest lesson. The novel, with more than 11 million copies in print, spent 250 consecutive weeks on the New York Times bestseller list.
Farr will be joined onstage by Stratford veteran David W. Keeley who, after wrapping Morrie, will head to Toronto to perform in the Mirvish production of Rock of Ages.
