Head-on crash in Dundas sends teen to hospital

Charges are pending against a 31-year-old Dundas woman following a fail-to-remain collision and a head-on crash on York Road that sent a 17-year-old boy to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Const. Debbie McGreal-Dinning said Hamilton police received a call about a single-vehicle collision at the corner of York and Valley roads at about 10 a.m. on Jan. 23.

A woman driving a Pontiac Grand Am had reportedly hit a curb and blown a tire but driven off. While police were at the scene, they received a call about the head-on crash about a half a kilometre to the north.

Police determined that the same 1998 Grand Am had hit the other vehicle, driven by the teen. The woman sustained minor injuries. Police continue their investigation.
