Hamilton police are investigating after four teenagers were assaulted and robbed in Ancaster on July 13.
Police spokesperson Catherine Martin said the males were walking near a soccer field on Golf Links Road at 10:30 p.m. when they were approached by at least five males.
The teens were punched, kicked and robbed of their cell phones and wallets. One of the males took out a black handgun and pointed it at the teens.
The suspects then fled on bicycles. The victims contacted police.
Officers near the area responded and spotted five males trying to get away. The suspects split up and two of them – a 17 year old and 16 year old – were apprehended on Upper Horning Road. The 17-year-old was found in possession of a replica revolver. He also was found with a small quantity of marijuana.
