The Hamilton Fire Department is holding two information sessions as it looks to hire men and women this year.

In order to ensure that all applicants understand the required qualifications and the recruitment process, interested parties are asked attend one of the sessions. Applicants will also hear from current firefighters about their profession and the steps they took to become a Hamilton firefighter.

The information sessions are being held Jan. 24 at Sir John A. MacDonald High School, 130 York Blvd., and Feb. 5 at the Multi-Agency Training Centre, Building C (indoor training complex), 1227 Stone Church Rd. East. Both run 7-9 p.m.
