A 32-year-old Hamilton man faces three drug trafficking charges after his car was pulled over in downtown Dundas on Monday evening.
Const. Debbie McGreal-Dinning said Hamilton police stopped a Nissan Sentra on King Street shortly before 8 p.m. after seeing it driving erratically.
The officer smelled a strong marijuana odour coming from the vehicle and spotted a knapsack with what appeared to be torn drug packaging.
The driver was arrested after the cop determined his licence was suspended and a search discovered 29 grams of cocaine, eight grams of crack cocaine, 21 grams of ecstasy (MDMA), five grams of pot, a drug scale and packaging.
Held for a bail hearing, the suspect faces the three trafficking charges and one for possessing the proceeds of crime, the latter for an undisclosed quantity of seized cash.
