Dynamo display their giving spirit

The Dundas Dynamo Junior girls were in a generous mood at the Markham basketball tournament. In pool play, they gave South Simcoe a 10-point lead before storming back to win with two seconds on the clock.  Scoring 14 points in the final two and a half minutes, the team won 45-42.  In the next game against the host team, MUMBA, Dynamo was down 14-2 at the end of the first quarter and came back to win 50-45.

In their final pool game the team handily beat Centre Wellington.

In the gold medal match against Mississauga Monarchs, the team was down 21-6 after the first quarter.  They came back strong in the second and third quarters, and despite having the lead late in the game, they couldn’t hang on.

Coaches Jim Stewart, Alison Stewart-Cumoric and Leigh Bouchard are proud of the girls for never giving up and getting a great start to the season.

The team thanks its sponsors, Adkins Financial, Try Hard Industrial Supply, The Staging House and Dewildt Motors.
