Dundas students can move both ways

A story in the Jan. 24 Dundas Star News reported common option sheets at Dundas’s two high schools will offer Parkside students the opportunity to take courses at Highland that aren’t offered in their school, starting in September.

That story did not specifically mention that Highland students will be able to take courses at Parkside.

Hamilton-Wentworth District School Board staff said there will be courses unique to Parkside and courses unique to Highland. Students at both locations will be able to select these course options at the other school, while remaining at – and graduating from – their main school.

Student movement will not be in one direction – from Parkside to Highland – but will be an option for students from both schools to attend special courses offered only at the other school, according to board staff.

Parkside is scheduled to close in 2014.
