Regular season east division champion Glanbrook Rangers will travel to Dundas to kick off a Niagara District Junior C hockey semi-final series this Saturday, February 16.
The Dundas Blues are coming off a tough six game win over the Chippawa Riverhawks. Dundas built a three games to none lead, taking Chippawa to the brink of elimination before the Riverhawks came back with two straight wins.
Dundas finished Chippawa off Tuesday night with a 4-2 victory.
Now the Blues get three days to rest and prepare for Glanbrook, who have been waiting since the regular season ended after earning the number one seed and a first round playoff bye.
Game time for Saturday’s opener at J.L. Grightmire Arena is 5:30 p.m.
Glanbrook finished the regular season with a division-best record of 28 wins and 10 losses – one point ahead of the second place Grimsby Peach Kings.
After game two in Glanbrook on Sunday, the teams remain in Glanbrook on Wednesday, Feb. 20 at 7:30 p.m. for game three.
