Hamilton police issued four provincial offence notices this week to drivers who failed to stop for school buses.
During Project Protector, Hamilton police patrol officers acted as spotters on school bus routes which were selected based on complaints from drivers.
Project Protector began on Sept. 3 and continued until Sept. 6. A second campaign will take place during the week of Oct. 15.
The provincial offence charge carries a fine of $490 and six demerit points.
Police also issued two warnings during the recent campaign. All of the violations were on multi-lane roadways and most occurred during afternoon bus routes.
