Police are seeking the public's help in located Stoney Creek stabbing suspect Richard Jessop.

Cops seek witnesses to Stoney Creek stabbing

The Hamilton Police Service has released a photo of a suspect wanted in connection with a stabbing at a Centennial Parkway south address on Saturday evening.

Police were called to 18 Centennial Parkway south  for a stabbing that had just occurred.  The victim, 22 year old Charles Jankevicius of Hamilton, was taken to the General Hospital by ambulance with a life threatening injury.  Jankevicius is presently in intensive care at the General Hospital in serious condition.

According to police, several people were at the scene of this stabbing.

After initial investigation, the police have obtained an arrest warrant for Attempt Murder and Breach Probation for 28 year old Richard Jessop of Hamilton. Police have not yet been able to locate Jessop.  Jessop and Jankevicius are known to each other.

Jessop is described as a male, 195 cm tall and weighing, 89 kg. He has short brown hair and brown eyes. According to a press release, Jessop is considered dangerous to the public.

Anyone who has seen Jessop, or has any information about the incident, is asked to contact Sgt. Paul Hamilton at 905-546-3825 with any information about this incident.
