A crowd gathers outside the Canadian Hard of Hearing Association's Ultimate Dream Home before the lucky winner was drawn.
Carol Kush has won the grand prize in the local Canadian Hard of Hearing Association’s Ultimate Dream Home Lottery.
The Hamilton resident’s name was drawn this afternoon at the home, which is located at 22 Michelangelo Lane on the southwest Mountain.
The dream house was built by Tuscany Hill Homes Ltd with furnishings by Elizabeth Interiors, appliances from Goeman’s Appliances and home electronics from East Hamilton Radio. Also included in the grand prize, which is valued at about $571,000, is a 2012 Jetta from Hamilton Volkswagen Audi.
Only 124,500 tickets were sold for the inaugural Ultimate Dream Home Lottery. Proceeds from the draw will help fund Canadian Hard of Hearing Association’s education and outreach programs in Hamilton and area.

• Denon micro component system from East Hamilton Radio: Barb Wood
• $500 gift card from Metro (four prizes): Pam McKibbon, Nancy Fulton, Diana Belfontaine, and Karen Allemang
Hamilton Ticats great Angelo Mosca, Ward 8 Coun. Terry Whitehead and Flamborough Review editor Brenda Jefferies were among the special guests to draw for the prizes.
