Canadian Christian Business Federation creates Ancaster chapter

The Canadian Christian Business Federation (CCBF), a national association of business leaders, is creating a new chapter in Ancaster in September.

CCBF executive director Keith Knight said the request for a local chapter came from several local business leaders who want to get together monthly over breakfast for mutual support and leadership development. Christian men and women involved in business are invited to attend the launch event on Sept. 16 at Cora, 73 Wilson St. W., 7 a.m.

Knight said the monthly breakfast meetings generally last an hour and  and deal with issues like integrity, courage and risk-taking, team building, time management, power and influence, leadership, self-discipline, and conflict management.

“Our focus is primarily on leadership development,” Knight said. “We aren’t there, firstly, to evangelize nor to network, though the networking and mutual support is a natural result of the meetings. The only cost to attend the launch event is the price of the breakfast you order.”
