Police charge two men after multiple commercial break-ins in Hamilton

Hamilton police have charged two men following a series of commercial break-ins in Waterdown, on the Mountain, in Binbrook and Stoney Creek.

Const. Claus Wagner said in July and August, thieves broke into the China Wok in Waterdown, M&G Distributors on Upper James Street and Pizza Nova on Upper Paradise Road.

On July 27, a thief broke into five stores in a Binbrook strip mall, a convenience store in Stoney Creek and Real Burger in Waterdown, he said.

Police arrested a 37-year-old Beamsville man on Aug. 7 and 33-year-old Lindsay man on Aug. 14 in connection with the break-ins.

The 37-year-old has been charged with 10 counts of break-and-enter, possession under $5,000, possession of burglary tools and proceeds of crime.

The 33-year-old has been charged with three counts of break-and-enter.
