It’s quite possibly one of the largest Easter egg hunts in the city and it’s happening on April 19 at Winona Park.
Heidi Hand, lead organizer of the Winona Easter Egg Hunt, is anticipating up to 1,500 youngsters at the third annual event this month.
Organizers will place over 90,000 eggs. A variety of wonderful prizes are also available.
Now in its third year, the Easter egg hunt has doubled in size during its last two installments. Organizers are also beefing up security this year in anticipation of the higher attendance.
“We go big or go home,” said Hand. “It’s going to be a fun and safe event.”
Registration begins at 9 a.m. and the hunt commences at 11 a.m. sharp.

The event is free, but donations are encouraged.
Non-perishable food items will be collected for local food banks.
