Police hunt for masked men involved in Stoney stabbing

Stoney Creek News

Hamilton police are on the lookout for two suspects who stabbed a man inside a home in the area of Bell Manor Street and Barton Street East on March 21.

Const. Debbie McGreal-Dinning said an initial investigation determined the victim, 22, was at home with friends just before midnight, when two men entered his residence with a knife and hammer.

The men went to the basement and confronted the man and his friends. They then proceeded to assault the man with the knife and hammer.

The victim was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries. His condition was later downgraded to non-life-threatening.

The suspects, both white, were last seen heading south on Bell Manor on foot.

The first suspect is described as 20 to 24 years old, five feet 10 inches to six feet inches tall, and weighing 180 pounds. He was sporting a red shiny jacket believed to be leather and had a red bandana covering his face.

The second suspect is described as 18 to 22 years old, five feet nine inches to five feet 10 inches tall, and weighing 160 to 170 pounds. He was wearing a dark navy blue jacket and had a black bandana over his face.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact Det. Const. Mike Ebert at 905-546-2956 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
