Volunteers are needed to support the Salvation Army's 2012 Christmas Kettle campaign. Thousands of kind-hearted individuals are required to tend the traditional Christmas Kettles and receive donations from the public.
The annual Christmas tradition begins on Nov. 14 and runs through to Christmas Eve with Salvation Army kettles placed in retail locations across Hamilton and Burlington. The campaign goal of $600,000 will allow the Army to continue offering hope, dignity and a Christmas meal to local families who are struggling to make ends meet.
The Army is looking for individuals, families, service clubs, sports teams, church groups and businesses to take up the challenge and volunteer at a kettle location.
