Dundas man blows over double booze limit after Ancaster rear-ender

Ancaster News

A 31-year-old Dundas man faces a drunk-driving charge after a car was rear-ended while stopped at a pedestrian crosswalk in Ancaster.

Const. Debbie McGreal-Dinning said Hamilton police were called to the corner of Mohawk and McNiven roads at about 8:30 p.m. on July 31 to investigate the collision, which resulted in a minor injury.

The driver of the vehicle that rear-ended the car failed a roadside breath test and was taken to the police station, where he blew more than double the legal booze limit.

Released on a promise to appear in court, he is charged with driving with more than 80mg alcohol per 100ml of blood.
