Loss makes it six in a row for Hamilton Red Wings

Hamilton Mountain News

November has not been kind to the Hamilton Red Wings.

The Ontario Junior Hockey League squad is 1-8 so far this month.

Their most recent setback was an 11-6 decision to the Georgetown Raiders at the Dave Andreychuk-Mountain Arena on Monday night.

Steve Hladin led Georgetown with three goals, while Nick Perruccio, Brendan Woods, Thomas Welsh, Tyler MacPherson, Richard Court, Michael Stevens, Brendan Jacome and Anthony Marra scored one goal each.

Jordan Merante scored two goals for the Red Wings. Adam Brady, Nick Scamurra, Liam Bird and Troy Crema added one goal each.

The game also featured more than 120 minutes in penalties.

It was the sixth loss in a row for the 4 and 23 Red Wings, who remain entrenched in the basement of the West Division.

The Red Wings take on the Mississauga Chargers in Port Credit on Saturday night and return home on Monday to host Orangeville. Game time is 7:30 p.m. at the Dave Andreychuk-Mountain Arena.
