Go Go Go Joseph

Nicole Juhas leaps across the stage during a dress rehearsal of Westwing Players’ production of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. Students and staff at Westmount Secondary have been working all semester to present the classic play May 4-7 at the Montcalm Drive school. Showtime is 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $10 for students ($15 adults) and available at the box office at the school from 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. daily and prior to each show.

Kamryn Wood releases a purple balloon in honour of her older sister, Sydney, during a ceremony at G.L. Armstrong elementary school honouring Sydney’s short life. She died Aug. 20 at age 11 from a rare medical condition.

Ross Morton

Ross Morton spent part of his 91st birthday on Wednesday inside the Avro Lancaster at the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum. Morton, who was a wireless air gunner on Lancs in 1945, shows the spot where the radio equipment was located.
