Saltfleet Storm getting ready for new season

Saltfleet Storm’s Hunter Cooper, right, fights for the puck in the Waterdown Warriors’ red zone during Hamilton public high school division I championship action last season at Chedoke Twin Pad Arena. Saltfleet went on to lose to Waterdown 3-2 in overtime. The Storm will start their 2016-17 run on Dec. 13.

Santa Claus comes to Stoney Creek

About 80 bands, floats and groups participated in the 60th Stoney Creek Santa Claus Parade on Dec. 3 along King Street. Organizers estimate around 15,000 people of all ages enjoyed the sights and sounds of the parade, while awaiting the arrival of jolly old St. Nick.
