Westfield Heritage Village performs Minnie Traill published in 1871

In 2003, a rare and unusual little volume called Minnie Traill or, The Woman of Wentworth was donated to the collection at Westfield Heritage Village.

Minnie Traill is a play that was written by W.P. Wood of Ancaster and published by the Hamilton Evening Times in 1871.

The story  will be presented at Westfield on Sunday, Aug. 17, beginning at 4 p.m. An adaptation of the play has been written by Westfield historical interpreter Rose Usenica, whose talents and experience as an actor, writer and director make her the perfect person for the task. With several successful productions under her belt, Usenica is directing a combined cast of Westfield interpreters and actors from the Hamilton area who will present a staged reading

The village will be open for regular programming on Aug. 17 from 12:30 to 4 p.m. and the play will follow.  For more information, visit www.westfieldheritage.ca or call 519-621-8851.
