Victorian Christmas at Dundurn

The Victorian Christmas at Dundurn Castle runs until Jan. 5.
During the holiday event, you can explore the history of the Christmas tree, gift giving and typical holiday treats. You can also learn about the Marys, who once lived in this magnificent Italianate-style villa, during a guided tour.
Dundurn Castle kicked off the Victorian Christmas season with the First Day of Christmas event last Saturday. Anyone seeking a unique opportunity to encounter Dundurn Castle during the holiday season can engage in a Christmas Evening Tour or Ring in the New Year tour on Dec. 6, 7, 13, 14, 15, 20, 21, 22, 27 and 28 from 7-9 p.m. These special evening tours begin with carol-singing in the front hall, followed by an extended tour of Sir Allan MacNab’s lavish home and a stop to sample an assortment of traditional Christmas foods in the historic kitchen. Tickets are $25 and can be purchased online at hamilton.ca/dundurn. Pre-registration is required.
For more detailed information about the Victorian Christmas programming at Dundurn Castle, email Dundurn@hamilton.ca or call 905-546-2872.
