Members of Soroptimist International of Dundas, Ancaster, Flamborough recently participated in the annual Walk For Memories, a fundraiser by the Alzheimer Society of Hamilton and Halton.
Soroptimists enter a team every year to help raise money for the Alzheimer society’s programs and services. Members of Soroptimist International of Dundas, Ancaster, Flamborough, a women’s volunteer organization that supports programs for women and girls in local communities, know Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias cross all genders, cultures and economic groups, but women are more often diagnosed, and most often face the challenges of caregiving.
This year Soroptimists raised over $1,000.
