More than 350 eager participants recently attended the Soroptimist International of Dundas/Ancaster/Flambrough Loonie Toonie Auction at Marritt Hall in Ancaster. The event is the local Soroptimist club’s major fundraiser for local women’s programs and raised $19,000. Shown here is Marilyn Woolley, the winner of a four-day stay in Las Vegas, and Lydia Garland, who picked up Santa’s Wine Fridge. Soroptimist International is a worldwide organization for women in management and professions working through service projects to advance human rights and the status of women. Soroptimist International comprises four federations, with nearly 100,000 members in 120 countries and territories throughout the world.
