Mike Kukucska, president of Hamilton Scenic Speciality Incorporated, is shown with one of two “tanks” the Dundas company fabricated and constructed for the permanent and travelling performances of War Horse in the United Kingdom. Kukucska described the tanks as “large puppets” operated by five performers. The company has made a total of five tanks for War Horse productions and has fabricated sets for hundreds of plays, television shows, movies and other events over the past 12 years from its sprawling workshop at 1 Head St. in Dundas’ west end.
