Isabel Dupuy’s Wind Dancer Pony Rescue holds open house

Ponies are cute and every child wants one, but do you really know what ponies are all about?  The Wind Dancer Pony Rescue hosts its monthly Open Daze on Saturday Aug. 2, 1165 Hwy 8 in Sheffield, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Learn about what it takes to care for a pony, meet some of the ponies who have been lucky enough to be rescued by Wind Dancer.

Since its inception three years ago, the Wind Dancer Pony Rescue has come to the aid of 18 ponies.  The organization is dedicated to the memory of Isabel Dupuy, a talented young horsewoman, who died tragically in a car accident.

Isabel had a gift with horses and her dream was to establish a pony rescue on her farm. Wind Dancer Pony Rescue is operated as a registered charity and driven by the commitment, energy and enthusiasm of Isabel’s mother, veterinarian Dr. Paula Dupuy and the Wind Dancer Pony Rescue Foundation Board of Directors.
