Eastgate Square kicked off its March break festivities with a visit from Jungle Cat World last Saturday.

Mall goers got a chance to find out more about the fox, hawk, ruffed lemur, scorpion, serval cat, skunk, snake and tarantula, as part of the world’s Wildlife Safari Outreach Program.

The program offers people the opportunity to learn about the lives of a variety of wild species, including where they live, how they survive, their role in the ecosystem and what can be done to protect them from going extinct.

Pictured here, first photo, Jungle Cat World animal coordinator Beth Vandersanden dangles a piece of meat for a hungry serval cat; second photo, wildlife educator Carl Tordiff displays a snake for audience members; and third photo, Nicholas Grovac, 5, gets up close and personal with a ruffed lemur.
