The Hamilton Black History Committee has extended the nomination deadline for the 2013 Rev. John C. Holland Awards until Thursday.
Nominations will be accepted in the following categories: Arts and Entertainment; Business; Professional Achievement; Community Service; Youth Leadership, Marlene  A. L.  Thomas – Entrepreneur; Inspirational, Empowerment, Motivational Speaker; Social Development, Community Mobilization; and Public Relations, Networking, Outreach.

The 2013 awards ceremony will take place on Feb. 2, at Michelangelo Banquet Centre.
